[ September Yapping Summary ] There’s a lot going on with the momentum and many things to do, but since it’s the end of the month, we should do a summary!! Let’s get started! [ Yaps ] 9/1 9/30 190 yaps => 266 yaps Gained 76 yaps over the month! Last month it was 59 yaps, so it’s clear that Yapping is heating up! [ Leaderboard (30D basis, including community) ] Beginning of September End of September 22 => 27 It’s not a huge increase compared to August, but there are a few more. The newly onboarded projects haven't made it to the leaderboard yet, and the existing projects have risen in the gaps after a bit of a drop. [ Total Written Posts ] Written posts 247 + short posts a Overall, it was a month where we received rewards for the amount of Yapping done. I focused a lot on Sonic and Portal, and both made it to the leaderboard, so rewards are expected. @Recall started because there’s a Korean allocation, but it got extended by a week to 1000th place. I’m thinking of aiming for the global allocation as well. I started Yaptos because I was envious of receiving rent in Aptos, and it made it to the leaderboard in the August snapshot, so I should be receiving rent soon. Additionally, I wrote about various projects like the newly started @Sentient, which I did a little Yapping for, but didn’t receive Season 2 for Overtake, etc. When people’s interest was drawn by momentum, I also need to finish the short-distance run for @Allora. ZK seems very important this year, so I’m planning to take care of Cysic as well! ConstitutionDAO was a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) created to buy one of the 13 remaining physical copies of the Official Edition of the U.S. Constitution, auctioned at the premier auction house, Sotheby's. PEOPLE is the name and ticker symbol of ConstitutionDAO's token.

Started initially as a meme, ConstitutionDAO raised $47 million from 17,437 donors with a median donation size of $206.26. The DAO set the record for the highest crowdfund in less than 72 hours. They then formed a non-profit called Endaoment that could bid at Sotheby's on their behalf.

The ConstitutionDAO crowdfund was held via Juicebox, ConsitutionDAO's crowdfund partner. People who participated in the crowdfund were awarded PEOPLE tokens. If ConstitutionDAO had won the auction, PEOPLE holders could vote on proposals related to the purchased copy of the constitution.

However, since the DAO lost the auction, it is now officially dissolved. The multi-signature wallet burned the project's NFTs and its owner no longer has control over the collected funds. Participants can receive refunds, minus the gas fees, through the PEOPLE token.

PEOPLE price and tokenomics

About the founders

ConstitutionDAO was created in November 2021 by software engineer Jonah Elrich, one of the core contributors of the DAO, along with around 30 other people. It partnered with Alameda Research, Endaoment, FTX US, Juicebox, Morning Brew, and SyndicateDAO.

ConstitutionDAO: The road ahead

Some ConstitutionDAO members have sought to build other projects. For example, some members are developing a digital version of the Constitution that anyone can freely access, while others are keen on creating a curriculum to teach about the Constitution in schools.
